Veriato Vision is right for you if…
you need to monitor employees and their productivity on PCs, Macs, and Android devices. It offers a simple cloud-implementation with remote management capability so that you do not have to physically access the employees’ computers. It has an on-premise deployment option too, however, Veriato does not promote it actively.
Veriato Vision can track almost as many objects as Teramind UAM. For example, website, apps, file movements, instant messenger chats, keyboard activities, printing etc. It also comes with powerful productivity reports and real-time alerts features. However, many of the Veriato platform’s unique features such as AI-based behavioral analytics, anomaly alerts, and risk scoring are not available on Veriato Vision. You will need to upgrade to its Cerebral solution to get them. Additionally, some essential features such as OCR, dedicated network tracking etc. are missing. The activity blocking features are also somewhat limited compared to Teramind UAM’s.
Teramind UAM is right for you if…
you need a more capable and less expensive product. In addition to user activity monitoring, Teramind comes with insider threats detection, behavior analytics and data loss prevention features. However, Teramind is only suitable if you have employees mostly on Windows PCs and servers and session hosts (e.g. Citrix). It cannot monitor mobile device and capability-wise its Mac agent is not on par with its Windows agent.
What Teramind UAM lacks on platform support it make up for with its rich set of features. Automated data discovery and classification, OCR, a powerful visual policy and rules engine, live video and RDP (remote desktop control) – all contributed to Teramind’s rave reviews and established it as a formidable employee monitoring and threat prevention solution provider in the industry. Most recently the company has launched a plethora of features such as time tracking, a mobile app and powerful business intelligence dashboard to make it easy to monitor and manage remote teams effectively.
